Florentino Perez press conference

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "We've won 58 titles in the last ten years, including six Champions League titles in football and three in basketball. It's something we're very proud of. Being a Real Madrid fan is a way of life."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "Last season we competed until the very end in every competition. It was tough, with serious injuries, we couldn't count on Carvajal or Militao for almost the entire season. Or Ceballos, Camavinga, and Mendy, who we lost for a good part of the season.

Something similar happened the season before, with 5 ACL tears. We played 68 matches and our internationals played more than 80. Absolutely insane."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "Two seasons ago, we were the first club to surpass €1 billion in revenue. And this season, we reached €1.185 billion in revenue, a 10% increase. This allows us to compete with the giants of the NFL and the NBA. We are in the final stages of the Bernabéu project.

Profits will continue to increase in the future, but they have already risen 56% compared to last year. I must say that we have a cost-control policy, but it has allowed us to remain competitive. Our net worth has reached €598 million. And this increase represents our strength."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "We have invested €1.347 billion in the Bernabéu. And it is already a source of income in itself. Furthermore, the club has made a significant contribution to the public economy, contributing €356 million to the Tax Office and Social Security."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "It is not normal for Barcelona to pay the vice-president of the referees more than €8m over 17 years, whatever the reason. It coincides, coincidentally, with Barcelona's best sporting period."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "It's not normal and it's not legal to try to prevent clubs from organizing their own tournaments. It's not normal for UEFA to try to dictate our fate and impose competition formats that harm the fans. That's why we're forced to play matches in Asia, near China."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "It's not normal for the president of La Liga to promote a match outside of Spain. Even their captain, Frenkie de Jong, doesn't think it's normal. And it's also not normal for La Liga to support two teams, Barcelona and Villarreal, receiving extra financial incentives for playing in Miami. And yet we have to listen to Mr. Tebas trying to compare this to the NFL game."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "It's also not normal for LaLiga to allocate budget to media outlets. Some media outlets were created with the sole purpose of harming Real Madrid, as was the case with Relevo. And it's even more worrying that they do so opaquely. Their president has refused to give us this information."

🚨 Florentino Pérez: "The agreement with CVC has made many clubs realize that losing part of their revenue for 50 years will jeopardize their future. We are confident that this agreement will be overturned in court. And Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Athletic have filed lawsuits against them.

I'm sorry, but I must mention that Barcelona also opposed it, but coincidentally, they dropped the case when LaLiga allowed them to register players."

🗣 Florentino Pérez: "The level of Spanish refereeing is also unacceptable. It's a disgrace that FIFA didn't select a single Spanish referee for the recent Club World Cup."

🚨 Florentino Pérez on the Villarreal vs Barcelona game in Miami: "As far as we know, no other club filed a complaint against the CSD (Spanish National Sports Council). Only Real Madrid. We have that strength. Now it's up to them to determine the appropriate responsibilities.

The president of La Liga acted on his own initiative and at his own risk. He's corrupting the league, and the president will have to take responsibility. We also have to talk about the disgraceful way the La Liga players' protest was handled. We all witnessed La Liga's shameful censorship. I don't know what was more shameful: the 30-second delay in connecting or hiding behind a 'commitment to peace.' What peace?"

🚨 Florentino Pérez: "Real Madrid is the only club that has appeared in court (in the 'Negreira case'). Four presidents have maintained multimillion-euro payments to the vice president of the referees' association for 17 years.

Fran Soto has asked that the matter be put to rest. He asks that "we forget the 'Negreira case.' Who can forget it? The reality is that most of the referees involved in the 'Negreira case' are still there.

It's a situation that prevents them from acting neutrally. How is it possible that, before the Copa del Rey final, the referee threatened that the referees were going to take action against our club? Before a Copa del Rey final?

He should have been removed from his position, and no action was taken."

🚨 Florentino Pérez on the Super League: "Above all, the implementation of free-to-air football television. We did it at the Club World Cup. I want to thank FIFA, which allowed a poor child in Africa to watch the matches.

We have Unify, which would allow us to broadcast matches for free. At least FIFA understood that this is the way forward. And I want to thank them for that.

I can only think of one reason why UEFA wouldn't do it, because delaying it for a year means another year of million-dollar salaries for them.

Like the case of the president of La Liga, whose salary is higher than his counterpart in the Premier League, even though La Liga generates far less revenue.

We won the legal battle and we will win the next ones. Because it's the best project for everyone. And they all acknowledge this to us privately."
